Al-Hikmah University Ilorin Admission Announced Screening of 2017/2018 (UTME/DE)


Al-Hikmah University invites qualified candidates for admission into its Degree Programmes through the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (U.T.M.E), Direct Entry, six (6)-year Part-time Degree Programmes and two (2)-year (Diploma) Programmes. 

All Full-time undergraduate programmes run for four (4) academic years except five (5) years for Law programmes and Part-time undergraduate programmes run for six (6) academic years.

ELIGIBILITY

1. UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMMES
Applicants must possess a minimum of five (5) credits in WASSCE/NECO/GCE/NABTEB/SISC Examinations or their equivalent at not more than two (2) sittings in the subjects relevant to their proposed Undergraduate Programmes. English Language at credit level is compulsory for all candidates. In addition, credit in Mathematics is compulsory for candidates seeking admission into Degree Programmes in the Colleges of Management Sciences, Natural Sciences and some Education Courses. Direct Entry admission is also available for applicants with suitable qualifications who obtained Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) DE Form 2016.

2. SUB-DEGREE (DIPLOMA) PROGRAMMES
Applicants are required to have a minimum of four (4) Credit passes at not more than two (2) sittings in the relevant subjects in WASSCE/NECO/GCE/NABTEB/SISC.Thanawiyyah/Tawjihiyyah Certificate of an Arabic Senior Secondary School duly registered with the relevant State Authorities or equivalent to any of the above mentioned qualifications will be considered.
Applicants for the Sub-degree Common Law Diploma Programme must possess five (5) credits in WASSCE/NECO/GCE/NABTEB Examinations or their equivalents at not more than two (2) sittings including English Language, Literature in English and any other three (3) Art/Social Science subjects, and at least a pass in Mathematics.
Applicants for the Sub-degree Common And Islamic Law Diploma Programme must possess a minimum of five (5) credits in WASSCE/NECO/GCE/NABTEB/SISC Examinations or their equivalent at not more than two (2) sittings including English Language, Literature-in-english, Islamic Studies or Arabic Knowledge and any other three (3) Art/Social Science subjects, and at least a pass in Mathematics.

3. POSTGRADUATE PROGRAMMES
(i) Master’s Degree: Applicants for the academic Master’s degree programmes who are graduates of Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin or any other recognized Universities, must possess a minimum of Second Class Honours Degree (Upper Division). However, applicants with Second Class (Lower Division) may be admitted provided they score a minimum of 60% in the qualifying examination to be administered by the University.
Regardless of the institution where the Bachelor’s degree is obtained, ALL CANDIDATES shall apply early for their official Bachelor’s degree academic transcripts to be addressed to The Dean, Postgraduate School, Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin.
(ii) Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE): Applicants must possess a first degree from Al-Hikmah University Ilorin or any other recognized University. Holders of Higher National Diploma (HND) are also eligible. However all candidates must satisfy the University’s O’level requirements.

METHODS OF APPLICATION

  1. Applicants for Undergraduate Programmes and Sub-degree Diploma should obtain a Bank Draft of N10,000 in favour to Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin from any commercial bank nationwide. Applicants for M.A. degree and PGDE programmes are to draw a Bank Draft of N20, 000 payable of Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin.
  2. The application form should be completed online at: http://admissions.alhikmah.edu.ng/
  3. Print the duly completed form.
  4. Present the Bank Draft to the University Bursary Department and change it to official receipt.
  5. Present the duly completed form with relevant credentials (Original & Photocopy) and official receipt at the Admissions Office for immediate screening.
  6. Post UTME Screening dates will be communicated to successful applicants.

Burkina Faso won the third place of 2017 Africa Cup of Nations.

The first half was all about Ghana with the Les Étalons were contended to work on the break with the pace of Bertrand Traore, his brother and later goalscorer Alain Traore, Bance and Préjuce Nakoulma.
The second half got more interesting as Ghana who did not start with Andre Ayew, Asamoah Gyan and Christian Atsu sent all out for the goal.
Jordan Ayew sent a freekick just over the bar. Jonathan Mensah missed a sitter from an in-swinging J.Ayew free-kick when it looked easier to score.
At the other end, Bertrand Traore dribbled two and released a left footed volley which went just inches wide.
In-experienced Black Stars goalie Kouakou Hervé Koffi had to be alert on at least two different occasion to thwart a dangerous counter-attack by his side's opponents.
Traore settled matters with a free-kick from the right hand side of the boz which his brother Bertrand has won.
